Who runs our services?

The CCSV is run entirely by volunteers, amongst them health professionals trained in social work, counseling, diet duties and nursing.  Currently, CCSV has 30 volunteers working on a part time/casual basis and one full time volunteer managing the Society. CCSV draws on the personal experiences and skills of their volunteers and provides on-going training to their volunteer staff.  Small grants are also offered to volunteers who require further training externally.

The Society is managed with a strong community participation focus by the Committee of Management.  It is also supported by professional advisers with legal, financial and community backgrounds.

The Society’s Volunteer Policy complies with the Australian National Standards for Not-For-Profit Organisations involving volunteers. Training of volunteers is a strong focus of the Society.
